Donations

ICAN-CERD is a non-profit charitable organization.  The majority of our  funding comes from the LHIN Local Health Integration Network (formerly Ministry of Health and Long Term Care).  Funding from the LHIN  supports ICAN-CERD to provide service, in three main areas, Supportive Housing, Outreach Attendant Services and Independence Training, however, individuals require additional supports and services.

To support individuals to live independently and safely additional funding is required to purchase ceiling track lifts, each costing approximately $2,600.

ICAN requires additional funding to purchase much needed equipment for our Independence Training program and to provide safe equipment for client services.  In addition funding is needed to provide services to teens with disabilities and to support our Peer Program.

Funding for building repairs and maintenance is required.  Expensive upgrades such as our updates to our heating system and windows are required and are only possible through generous donations.
